Lucernarium LLC is an independent software company. We build Vespers, a communication platform that helps Catholic parishes stay connected — group messaging, prayer intentions, events, and shared photos — with safeguarding built into the product rather than bolted on afterwards.

Vespers

Parishes run real communities, and a great deal of parish life involves young people: youth groups, faith formation, retreats, service trips. Most general-purpose messaging tools were never designed for that responsibility. Vespers is.

Some of what that means in practice:

• Two vetted adults. Any direct conversation involving a minor requires two vetted adults to be present. This is enforced by the system when a conversation is created, when participants join or leave, and every time a message is sent. There is no administrator override.
• Guardian visibility. Parents and guardians have a defined role in their children's participation, rather than being outside the system.
• A minimum age of 13. Vespers is not built for young children, and we do not collect data from them.
• Access by invitation only. Parishes provision accounts for their own members. There is no public sign-up, and no way for a stranger to appear inside a parish community.
• Tenant isolation. Each parish's data is separated from every other parish's, enforced at the database layer as well as in the application.

Vespers is in active use by Catholic parishes. It is offered to parishes under a direct agreement with Lucernarium LLC; individual parishioners are never charged and never asked to enter payment details.
